It's just not Ramen.

i wanted to make a late night snack.. so im going through the cupboards and my curiosity got the best of me. my friend jenn gave me some stuff out of her kitchen she was never going to eat because she had too much of it. (she likes to hoard food) anyhow, she gave me a variety of stuff but this in particular caught my attention. so i made it, and now im eating it, as i type:

i just cant decide if its good or not, but i cant stop eating it either. with every bite i hope to figure out if i love it or hate it, but with every bite im still left wondering.

photoshoppin fool

during donovan's nap today i've been sitting on the computer getting absolutely nothing productive done. i admit i have things to do, however my laundry detergent is in my mother's trunk.. and that is my excuse. anyhow, i stumbled apon a little mini-tutorial about a simple way to quickly and easy improve the quality of a photo, and i tried it. basically im in love with its power and simplicity. in a nutshell you use classical art as a color reference in one simple step. you just open your photo, and open the image of the painting you are using (pick one with nice colors) and with your photo active you select image > match color, and at the bottom of the dialog box you select the painting image as the source. then you play around with the luminince and color intensity until it looks really nice. (it also helps to check and uncheck preview to compare your enhancements to the originial once in a while)

heres what i did (tiny versions because im impatient) in a matter of less than 10 minutes of experimenting:

( i realllly over-did this one, im going to go back and tone it down a bit.)

and this photo has nothing to do with this little trick: but i had fun playing with it:

change you must or die you will

I need some form of change in my life very soon. I'm not sure exactly what I need but whatever it is I just need to feel more like a productive human being. I really could use a job but I'm starting to lose any hope that it will happen because I couldn't even tell anyone how many places I've apllied without receiving a single phone call for an interview. Is it the economy that is making this job search thing so difficult? That's what my mother says but is it really THAT bad right now? I never had trouble finding a job, this is incredibly frustrating. I just don't know where to go from here.

Writer's Block: Six-Word Story

Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” He is believed to have called it his greatest literary work ever. Can you write a story in six words?
No, I can't do that, sorry.
